| Leaving Lorient last Saturday, Groupama 3 reached Puerto Sherry Marina, Spain, on Monday March 19th mid-day. |

As planned, Franck Cammas and his men took a little more than two days to cover the 1 100 miles between Lorient and the
Spanish harbour. The delivery has been rich in experience due to the different weather conditions encountered. After a light
breeze in the Bay of Biscay, a steady North-western wind blew as soon as the Cape Finisterre (westernmost point of Spain)
was rounded. This flow escorted Groupama 3 all along the Iberian coast, allowing a nice descent in downwind conditions.
For
the crew, these nautical miles were very important since they allowed them to validate the modifications performed during
winter refit and to revise their adjustments.
As soon as next Monday, March 26th, Franck Cammas and his nine
crew members will be waiting for a favourable weather window, ready to go for their first record attempt on board Groupama3
: the Columbus Route (Cadiz / San Salvador)*.
*Maxi catamaran Gitana 13 left last Sunday morning for the
same record. They had to abandon and turn around after a collision with an unidentified floating object last night. They are
heading towards the Canaries.
