A passion for the sea and everything that sails on itGraduated of an electronic engineering college, Yann is an enthusiast, with a passion for the sea and everything that sails
on it.
Since he is 8 years old, every type of sailing captivated him, from dinghies to sport catamarans, or sailing
yachts to windsurfing. A sailing monitor at Glenans Island from 1995 to 1998, he bought, in 2001, a Mini boat to compete in
the Mini Transat 2003. He finished 4th; Not bad for a first participation!
Yann also excels in his professional life.
Finishing his degree in 1999, he left for Denmark, where he worked five years for Thrane&Thrane, a company specialized in
satellite telephony. A profession allowing him to match his electronic engineer knowledge to his passion, sailing. Then, in
2004, he came back to France and signed a contract with Alcatel in Rennes.
He arrived in Team Groupama in January
2006. Yann is in charge of IT computers and electronics, particularly for Groupama 3.
