The in-house parts...With a training in naval carpentry, and numerous work experiences in boatyards, Thierry Madec joined Team Groupama at the
end of 2002.
Responsible for the composite workshop at the base in Lorient, he is, under the guidance of Jean-Marc
Normant, making the in-house parts.
As an example, he is the one who made the superb carbon helms, designed by Jean-Marc,
on Groupama 2.
