A key man in Team GroupamaBetween Stéphane Guilbaud and Franck Cammas, it is a long time story, based on confidence and mutual respect. They met for
the first time at the finishing of Figaro in 1996. Franck had won the last leg of the Solitaire, which was won overall by
Jean Le Cam. The young sailor from South of France needed a hand, Stéphane stepped in and since, they have continued to work
successfully together.
The two men are complementary: only leader on board, Franck delegates to Stéphane the management
of the technical team, contacts and the relations with suppliers and providers. This division of tasks skipper/manager, unusual
at the time they started their collaboration, has since proved its efficiency and has inspired other projects. Thus, Stéphane
is the true leader onshore.
