Hugues had three dreamsWhen he was little, Hughes had three dreams: single-handed racing, sailing around the world and taking part in the Olympic
Games. Aims achieved: in 1993 he takes part in the Whitbread round the world race on board "La Poste" and in 1995 he participates
in La Solitaire du Figaro. For the Olympic Games, Hughes considers his four years of Olympic preparation on Flying Dutchman
for the Barcelona Games in 1992 a fine accomplishment.
Master sail-maker at Incidences for the last six years, Hughes
is far from having given up competitive sailing and continues to add new successes to his sailing curriculum.
After
sailing on the trimaran Géant for two years, he takes the third step on the podium of the 2005 Transat Jacques Vabre with
Michel Desjoyeaux .
Hughes will be on board Groupama 2 for the Multihull Trophy. His post will be main trimmer.
