The SNSM record week

Saint Nazaire - Saint Malo - Saint Nazaire
Created three years ago, the annual rendez-vous for the SNSM Record (French equivalent of the British RNLI) will take place from 20th to 25th June. It will comprise a new course this year since the start and finish will be located in Saint Nazaire. Twice the distance for twice the number of tacks amongst the superb rocks dotted along the Breton coast. A little game which requires good control of your boat and great navigation skills...

  • From 20th to 25th June 2008
  • Crewed race
  • Distance: around 570 miles

    Two minutes for a victory

An incredible finish for the 60 foot trimarans in 2007! On the finish line moored off Saint Malo, solely a few boat lengths and just two minutes separated Pascal Bidégorry's winning crew from that of Franck Cammas.

Beaten last year, Franck and his crew will be keen to win it, as they are each time they take the start of a race.

The absolute record for the event between St Nazaire and St Malo has been held since August 2006 by Yvan Bourgnon, who completed the course aboard Brossard in 13hr 26min 49sec, at an average of over 21 knots.
