Relieved to know the trimaran is now protected from the gale currently sweeping across New Zealand, Franck Cammas and his crew immediately set to work with an electric pump, emptying the beams, which were deliberately punctured to favour the attempted righting, as well as clearing the pieces of the port float, which couldn't be removed in the open sea.

Weather permitting it is tomorrow, Sunday, that the righting operation is likely to be performed with the help of a crane in the port of Dunedin.
