Jules Verne Trophy
Started off at 7:50 Thursday in front of the Créach lighthouse (Ushant) for the Jules Verne Trophy, Groupama 3 has already traveled 572 miles in 22 hours at an average of 26 knots.

Franck Cammas and his nine crew have, this Friday morning, thirty miles ahead of the reference time of Orange II and stood off Lisbon, navigating in an easterly breeze of about fifteen knots after having been seriously shake before the Cape Finisterre.


Today the giant trimaran must have a steady wind of 15-20 knots Sector East, softening on arriving to the Canaries, the first problem of this world tour... Groupama 3 should still accomplish a great day before going to the African trade winds over the weekend.
